2021: The year of The Worst “Accountants” EVER
Four in distress clients came to us in 2021 with massive IRD debt issues, and litigation/liquidation papers being served by IRD. In all three of the 4 cases, the business’s “accountant” had completed exceedingly poor accounts, these were grossly flawed and just down right rubbish and fictional.
In 3 of the cases, once FALC was engaged, the former “accountant” simply ran away and ditched their client as soon as problems manifested. Never to be heard from again.
The 4th case involved a Botany Chartered Accountant who fabricated income and accounts over a period of 3 years. That Chartered Accountant has never responded to the queries raised.
In all cases these people pose a real risk to their clients and should not be in practice. Formal complaints were lodged to Inland Revenue against these “accountants”.
